The ranking was prepared by the Educational Foundation "Perspektywy". The ranking includes Academic Universities, Non-Public Universities and Public Vocational Universities. It also evaluated 74 fields of study among all Polish universities. This ranking is the first one published taking into account the results of the evaluation of the quality of academic activity of HEIs for 2017-2021. It takes into account 30 indicators grouped into seven criteria:
- Prestige,
- Graduates on the labour market,
- Scientific potential,
- Innovation,
- Scientific efficiency,
- Educational conditions,
- Internationalisation.
In the case of non-public HEIs, an important criterion for assessment was also the practical nature of the studies conducted.
